Danielle is a graduate of Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa with a double major in Theatre Arts: Acting and Directing and Digital Media Production.

Directing
While attending Dordt, Danielle put together entirely student designed and run shows, such as Wit, during gaps in the season. She directed two one-acts, The Rothko Room and Tone Clusters, then followed them with a staged reading of The Laramie Project to raise awareness and increase communication on her campus. For her senior show she chose to direct Machinal, for which she won an Outstanding Director award from KCACTF Region V and was selected to perform in the festival’s 2011 Showcased Scenes.

Acting
Danielle held numerous acting roles while at Dordt and was a KCACTF Irene Ryan nominee for four of them; Ruth Hoch in Book of Days, Mother and Chorus in Caucasian Chalk Circle, Rose Arnott in Enchanted April, and Polly in As It Is In Heaven.

Film
As part of her Digital Media Production Program, Danielle learned to work both in front and behind the camera.  She did a variety of work from acting, directing and editing for film festivals, to travelling to Kenya and the Philippines to help shoot a documentary on slums.

Southwestern
Through college, Danielle spent five summers working with Southwestern, where she had the opportunity to run her own business selling educational books door-to-door. Danielle saw it as an opportunity to be challenged and to build her skills in communication, self-motivation, problem solving, and leadership. She finished in the top percentage for personal sales in the country each summer and also recruited and lead teams of other students in the program.
Currently
Danielle is currently living in Knoxville, Tennessee. She worked with The Word Players, first as Stage Manager for Leaving Iowa, then as Assistant Director and Stage Manager for Anne of Avonlea and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Finally, she directed The God Committee in March. In June, she directed Honk! for Erin Presbyterian's Youth Players. In July, 2013 Danielle began a production company, Yellow Rose Productions, and is currently working with The Square Room at Cafe4 to produce All In The Timing.
